Flower & Snake from director Takashi Ishii is an adaptation of the S&M novel by Oniruku Dan. As an excuse to link together about a dozen slow-motion soft-core sex scenes, Dream Master: The Erotic Invader's premise could be worse. You are not renting the disc to discover social and personal insights, after all. The production is nice and glossy, the cast is gorgeous, the mind numbing synthesizer score is awful and one of the episodes involving, if we got it right, a teen-aged brother and sister having sex while their parents are down the hall, is simply disgustingly uncomfortable. Suspense? Nah. Sci-fi thrills? No way. Lots of beautiful, surprisingly aggressive women with penchants for being on top? Oh yeah, oh yeah, in abundance.
